Google Arts & Culture is unveiling the culmination of a multi-year collaboration around the Science Museum in London’s Daily Herald Newspaper archive – comprised of a large-scale digitisation of 100K images and a dedicated project telling the rich history of the archive. Their Lab has created an AI powered generative newspaper that takes the first edition of the newspaper as its starting point, and invites users to create their own bespoke version of The Daily Herald using OCR and Natural Language Processing.
